Because people want to hear from people — they don't want to hear from a faceless logo and they definitely don't want to hear from AI. If they did, they'd be on ChatGPT right now, not on LinkedIn looking for a resource — YOU — to guide them.
This is Marketing 101.
Well... honestly, I don't know if it's actually 101. I was a theatre major. But I've always had a love and a knack for maarrkkeeeting — and here's what I know for certain:
Marketing is speaking the truth of YOUR product, YOUR service, YOU. And with that being true, the message will always land best coming directly from YOU.
I don't want to hear how great your product is from a little logo profile picture. Who's even behind that thing? For all I know it could be your mom — she always thinks you're the best - OR - better yet... it could be AI…. (duhn duhn duuuuhnn)
AI will always talk you up and tell you how wonderful you are. And how do I know that? Because I am one. LOL. No, but seriously — why does AI keep telling you what you want to hear? Because it wants you to like it. (So it can easily take over the world someday. But that's a different post.)
So, get out there. Start talking about why your product stands above the rest. Share why YOU are the one who brought it to the people — because that story matters, and only you can tell it.
